Dipesh Patel

Dentist

Qualifications: BDS(Shef), MFDS RCS(Eng), DipDSed(UCL), MSc Prosth(Manc), MPhil Prosth(Manc), Msc Endo(Chester), BChD (Leeds)

Dipesh qualified from Sheffield University in 2004 with clinical distinction and has since gained extensive experience working in practices across the North West and at Manchester Dental Hospital, where he also taught undergraduate and postgraduate students.

He has a strong commitment to continued professional development and holds membership with the Royal College of Surgeons England, a Diploma in Dental Sedation, and Master’s degrees in Prosthodontics and Endodontics. Dipesh particularly enjoys helping nervous patients and takes great care to ensure every visit is as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Outside of dentistry, Dipesh enjoys spending time with his two daughters, keeping fit, and travelling.

Vilas Patel

Dentist

Vilas Patel qualified from Sheffield University in 2004 with clinical distinction and honours and has since worked in practices across Bolton, Manchester and Wigan. She has also acted as an Educational Supervisor, supporting the training of newly qualified dentists in general practice.

At Harwood Dental Care, Vilas provides general and cosmetic dentistry, dental rehabilitation and adult orthodontics, and is also trained to treat anxious patients using sedation. She holds a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons England and is an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry, reflecting her commitment to excellence and leadership in dentistry.

Outside of work, Vilas enjoys family life with her husband Dipesh and their two daughters.

Jonny Stevens

Jonny is a leading cosmetic dentist based at Harwood Dental Care, known for creating beautiful, natural-looking smiles tailored to each patient’s needs. He has personally carried out hundreds of smile makeovers, combining minimally invasive techniques such as composite bonding, veneers and clear aligner treatments to help patients feel confident and comfortable with their smiles.

Jonny is passionate about making dentistry approachable and stress-free, and his calm, patient-centred style is highly valued by those who seek both aesthetic and functional improvements. He also shares his expertise with other dentists through training programmes that support the development of advanced cosmetic skills.

Jonny enjoys building strong patient relationships and helping people achieve results that enhance their confidence and everyday life.

Sam Matthews

Qualifications

I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2022 and have completed a diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, along with advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and clear aligners.

I particularly enjoy both general and cosmetic dentistry, helping patients improve their smiles with natural, predictable results. I enjoy taking the time to explain treatment options clearly and creating personalised treatment plans that reflect each patient’s needs and goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, going to the gym, trying new foods, spending time outdoors, and travelling whenever possible.

Lisa Johnson

Hi, I’m Lisa, a Dental Therapist at Harwood Dental Care with over 18 years of experience in dentistry. I am passionate about helping patients improve their oral hygiene, reduce bleeding scores, and achieve a healthier, fresher, and more comfortable mouth.

I pride myself on making patients feel informed, at ease, and confident throughout their treatment journey.

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family, especially enjoying the outdoors and making the most of fun activities together.

Louise Todd-Miller

Hi, my name is Louise a Dental Therapist at Harwood Dental Care. I was a dental nurse for 6 years before qualifying in 2008. My experience has abled me to develop meticulous attention to detail. I enjoy putting patients at ease and motivating them to maintain their oral health.

In my spare time I have a keen interest in food and love trying out new recipes especially Italian but my guilty pleasure is gift wrapping often going over board with ribbons and bows!

Zoe Abbey

Zoe joined the team around a year ago, bringing a broad professional background and a calm, patient-centred approach to care. After spending 15 years working in research and development across a wide range of medical fields, Zoe chose to follow her long-standing interest in dentistry in order to work more closely with patients and make a meaningful difference to their day-to-day health.

Zoe trained in Dental Therapy at UCLAN and gained extensive clinical experience through placements in both general practice and hospital settings, working across her full scope of practice. She has a particular interest in treating children and supporting patients with additional needs, and is known for her gentle, reassuring manner with patients of all ages.

Patients appreciate Zoe’s kind, approachable nature and her ability to put them at ease, while colleagues value her positive attitude and strong team spirit. She is committed to providing up-to-date, evidence-based care and enjoys continuing to develop her skills as part of a supportive dental team.

Emma Booth

Practice Manager

Hi, I’m Emma, the Practice Manager at Harwood Dental Care. I joined the practice in 2019 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2020.

I oversee all administrative aspects of the practice, including compliance and staff development, ensuring our team are fully supported to deliver the highest standard of patient care. I take pride in helping the practice run smoothly so that every patient has a positive experience.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family – my son and two fur babies keep me very busy.

Alex Stewart

Hi I’m Alex, and I’m a Dental Nurse and Treatment Coordinator at Harwood Dental Care, and I’ve been working in Dentistry for nearly five years now. I love having a patient-facing role and enjoy getting to know patients, helping them feel comfortable, listened to, and supported throughout their treatment journey. I also work closely alongside our Cosmetic Dentist, Dr Jonny Stevens, which I find especially rewarding as we help patients achieve results they feel confident about.

Outside of the practice, I enjoy an active lifestyle which includes CrossFit training and walking my dog. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
